Introducing & verifying an “Al-Maqāma Al-Bakhshishia” manuscript By: Ahmad Faris Al-Shidyaq (1805-1885)

Abstract

This paper presents a manuscript Written by Ahmad Faris Al-Shidiak (1805-1887), Which has not been previously verified. The manuscript revolves around the topic of (Bakhchish) or what is known as (Gratuity). This paper aims - besides verifying the manuscript- to introduce the writer of the manuscript. And the different stations of his life. Especially the ones that influenced the formation of his scientific and literary personality. The paper will also briefly outline some of his significant and unique work, along with His outstanding literary style and rich linguistic lexicon. It also sheds light on the artistic value of this literary Genre. And the exceptional relationship between the writer of the manuscript and the art of Al-Maqāmat.
