Abstract

This critical study examines development of rhythmic and prosodic terminology after the emergence of the Free Verse Movement, targeting the interaction of learners with the prosodic and rhythmic regeneration caused by the Free Verse Movement; To start developing theoretical frameworks, including terms and concepts, this means that methodologically, the study is grounded in analytical reading and reception theory.


The study concludes That poetic freedom gave rise to new rhythmic and prosodic terms which emerged within a broader shift in musical forms. This shift necessitates a fresh reassessment of traditional prosodic terminology by modern scholars.
