Abstract
This research focuses on one of the most important books of criticism and lexical correction written in the sixth century AH, namely Al-Tanbih wa al-Ithbat 'an ma waqa'a fi Kitab al-Sahah by Ibn Barri al-Masri (582 AH).
The research examines and verifies the lexical entries and units that were omitted by the first transcriber of Al-Tanbih wa al-I'dah, and then omitted again by the editors of Al-Tanbih wa al-I'dah. It is an attempt to fill the gap in this section and to restore the entries and units that were omitted from Ibn Barri's copy of Al-Sahah by Al-Jawhari.
The research is divided into two sections, one for study which is in three topics and the other for investigation.
