Treatise on Condolences and Mortality Compiled by Ahmed bin Abdul Latif bin Ahmed Al-Barbair (Died 1226 H) Study and Commentary

Abstract

Death remains a fact  everyone is exposed to and a calamity awaited by every living soul trying to prevent it as much as possible. But if it cannot be prevented, one loses power, surrendering oneself, weeping, condoling, learning or contemplating according to one's  situation in relation to the dead person.

Ahmed al-Barbir was able to collect these meanings in his treatise, trying to relieve the calamity of the condoled, widening the scope of consolation, allowing ideas close to the main purpose, and other ideas when the theory of  procreation is applicable.

He continues to illustrate and repeat the same topic, bringing in similar cases together, to the point which makes out of the treatise a magnificent artistic portrait and an eloquent literary image, which combines knowledge and literature and contributes to the alleviation of grief,  reducing the  flooding of sadness.
