This study examines the issue of reciting the Noble Qur'an according to musical maqamat from the perspective of Islamic legal theory (Usul al-Fiqh). It analyzes the analogical arguments (qiyās) upon which the relevant legal rulings are based, identifies points of conflict among these analogies, clarifies the nature of maqamat, and examines the methods employed by Usul scholars to resolve conflicts between competing analogical arguments concerning their use in Qur'anic recitation.

The study adopts inductive, analytical, and theoretical methodologies. It is organized into an introduction and two main sections. The first discusses the concept of conflict between analogical arguments, its origins, and the methods of resolving such conflicts. The second examines the issue of reciting the Qur'an according to musical maqamat, analyzes the conflicting analogical arguments, and evaluates the stronger legal opinion.

The study concludes that the science of maqamat belongs to the supplementary sciences and should not be pursued by those who have neglected the essential religious knowledge required of every Muslim or by those who have not yet mastered proper Qur'anic recitation and tajwid. The preferred legal opinion is that reciting the Noble Qur'an according to musical maqamat and applying the musical scale to the words of Allah is impermissible.

The study further recommends that Qur'an reciters devote themselves to humble and reverent recitation that instills tranquility in the heart, without concern for whether their recitation conforms to a particular musical maqam
