This study examines the hadith, "I have been given the Qur'an and something like it along with it," through both narrational and analytical approaches. It aims to trace the hadith through its chains of transmission, examine its authenticity, analyze its text and meanings, and derive selected issues concerning the authority of the Prophetic Sunnah.

The study employs inductive, analytical, and deductive methodologies.

The findings demonstrate that this hadith constitutes one of the foundational texts establishing the authority of the Prophetic Sunnah. It is an authentic narration that has been verified by numerous leading hadith scholars and widely accepted among them. The hadith indicates that the Sunnah possesses legislative authority alongside the Qur'an. It also represents one of the signs of the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ, as it foretold the emergence of groups that would reject the Sunnah while claiming adherence solely to the apparent meaning of the Qur'an. Furthermore, it highlights the exalted status of the Prophet ﷺ and affirms that Allah has made obedience to his commands and prohibitions obligatory.

The study recommends further scholarly attention to hadiths concerning the authority and status of the Prophetic Sunnah through analytical studies that address contemporary movements advocating the rejection of authentic hadiths and the Sunnah
