Abstract

The research addresses instances of the repetition of the noun in its wording, clarifies its purposes and effects, and includes a grammatical study of such cases. It also presents various views of grammarians, discusses them, and evaluates whether the repetition is considered offensive, necessary, or acceptable. It also highlights points of disagreement and agreement among scholars. The study concludes that repetition permits what singular usage does not. In addition, it necessitates the omission of the governing word (ʻāmil) in certain contexts, and that some words occur only when repeated, as their standard usage requires repetition. It also recommends further research into verb repetition, as it presents new linguistic issues worth exploring.
