Abstract

Preserving marital secrets and safeguarding them constitute a fundamental pillar for the stability of married life and a primary source of trust between spouses. Islamic law has given great attention to this matter and has attached severe warning and strong condemnation to anyone who discloses such secrets. With the multiplicity of modern means of disclosure and the emergence of forms that are even more dangerous than verbal disclosure, the need has arisen for a jurisprudential study that clarifies the relevant rulings and highlights their objectives.

This research addresses the issue of disclosing marital secrets due to its significant impact on protecting the family and safeguarding its privacy, particularly at a time when forms of disclosure are increasing and becoming widespread. The study aims to establish the jurisprudential foundations related to this issue, raise awareness among Muslims of its legal regulations, and contribute to strengthening awareness of personal rights and the protection of private life.

The research examines the definition of disclosing marital secrets and its legal parameters, the Islamic ruling concerning it, the justifications that may permit it, and the penalties prescribed for it in Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary legal systems. It also presents applied jurisprudential examples that demonstrate the seriousness of this act and its negative consequences.
