الملخص

This study examined the digital well-being of 146 secondary school students in international schools under the Jazan Region Education Administration and its impact on academic performance. The study used a descriptive survey method, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires, which measured dimensions such as screen time, online behaviour, and the influence of digital tools on social interactions and academic outcomes. The findings revealed that more than 60% of students agreed that their schools promoted digital well-being through educational resources and support services. Additionally, 71.9% of students reported that digital tools helped them save time in completing school assignments, while a moderate negative correlation was found between social media usage and academic performance (r = −0.52, p < .05). The study also identified challenges affecting students’ digital well-being, including excessive screen time, academic pressure, and social isolation
