Abstract

The present study aims to identify the impact of employing the digital story on developing social skills among first-grade students in Jordan during the school year (2019/2020). The two researchers have used the quasi-experimental approach and prepared social skills to note cards. The study sample consists of (62) male and female students from the first basic grade, and it is divided into two groups: (a) an experimental group of (32) students and (b) a control group of (30) students. The results have shown statistically significant differences between the arithmetic averages of the post-performance of the experimental and control groups; in favor of the performance of the experimental group students. This is due to teaching methods; however, no statistical significant gender differences were spotted. The researchers recommend using the digital story in educational processes to develop social skills among the targeted students.
