Requirements for Employing Future Studies in Developing Educational Research in Saudi Universities in Light of Sustainable Development Goals (A Foresight Study)

Abstract

    The study aimed to determine the requirements for employing future studies in the development of educational research in Saudi universities in the light of the goals of sustainable development, and to achieve this goal, the study used the Delphi method, which is one of the methods of future studies, and also used the descriptive approach, and the study community consisted of education experts in the Arab world and those interested in future and forward-looking studies according to specific criteria and their number (32) experts, The study reached a number of results, including: the most prominent regulatory requirements were in formulating a clear vision for employing future studies in educational research, while the most prominent procedural requirements were in setting research priorities in the field of future studies in the field of humanities and social sciences It was also the most prominent academic requirements in spreading the culture of future studies in the academic community. Based on these results, the researchers recommended that Saudi universities should prepare plans and strategies to provide the requirements for employing future studies in the development of educational research.
