Abstract

The study aimed to identify the importance of smart labs and the obstacles to their use in teaching science from the teachers’ point of view. This study used the descriptive survey method. The study sample consisted of 218 science teachers in government intermediate schools in Riyadh. The researcher designed the study tool, which was a (questionnaire) 24 paragraphs distributed, consisting of three main parts, the first part was related to the general data of the sample members, The second and third parts were devoted to the phrases of the importance of smart laboratories in teaching science, and the phrases of the obstacles to smart laboratories in teaching science, respectively. The results of the study concluded that there the degree of agreement on the importance of smart laboratories in teaching science was (very high), as the general arithmetic mean for the axis (the importance of smart laboratories in teaching science) was (4.33) with a standard deviation of (0.63). The degree of agreement on the obstacles of smart laboratories in teaching science was (high), and the general arithmetic mean for the axis (obstacles of smart laboratories in teaching science) was (4.09) with a standard deviation of (0.60). Based on these results, the researcher presented a number.
