Abstract

The study aimed to explore the relationship between leadership style and work stress and psychological burnout among Majmaah University employees. The findings revealed that: (1) the democratic leadership style prevails compared to permissive and autocratic styles; work stress and psychological burnout got a moderate degree. In addition, there were no significant differences between the estimates according to gender. Except for emotional blunting in favor of males, there were no significant differences according to age. Except for the democratic leadership style which increased the perception that it prevails with the rise of age groups, about the workplace, there were significant differences between the estimates of both democratic and permissive leadership (3) both democratic and autocratic leadership affected work stress and emotional blunting.
