Abstract

This research aimed to identify the level of importance of implementing virtual leadership and to develop a proposed model for its application in public schools in the Asir region. The descriptive methodology was used, and a questionnaire was the data collection instrument. The sample consisted of (216) male and female principals from public schools in the Asir region, across all educational levels (boys and girls), in the Abha and Khamis Mushait sectors. The results showed that the research sample agreed on the importance of implementing the dimensions of virtual leadership in public schools in the Asir region with a "high" level of agreement. The results also revealed both statistically significant differences and no statistically significant differences in the responses of the research sample regarding the importance of implementing the dimensions of virtual leadership in public schools in the Asir region, according to the research variables: (school type, educational level, number of years of experience in school leadership, and number of training courses in digital transformation). The research concluded with a proposed model for implementing virtual leadership in public schools in the Asir region. It recommended intensifying professional development training for school leaders to ensure the effective use of virtual leadership and improve team performance.
